Weekly photo challenge: Contrast

Taken at Bali last September. A slow leisurely stroll along the vast beach in the late afternoon, leaving a long trail of footprints on the soft sand under our feet. Smiles and laughter were everywhere, kids and adults alike.

Then came this warm glow, so far yet it felt so near, appearing to be in a rush to have a rest after being contented with the joy it had spread to everyone on the beach for the whole day. A short glimpse at this beautiful sunset and it’s all over after two snapshots of the sun at its most brilliant moment amidst the dark sky.

How I miss the carefree me in Bali! Happy moments may be short, just like this lovely sunset. Nevertheless, it is enough to have them deeply embedded as part of our memories and to reminisce about them every now and then. 🙂
