Weekly photo challenge: Distorted

Taken at Raffles Place in Singapore during my first photography outing last year when I first started learning photography. Tried so many shots from different angles around this bird sculpture till I finally got this shot which I feel conveys the true meaning of this sculpture. This bird sculpture is built by Fernando Botero to represent peace, the joy of living and power of optimism. See how this bird sculpture turns out a little distorted from reality in this photo (it isn’t that huge in real life!) yet inspiring. Love the way how this bird really stands out from everything else by the Singapore river. Standing tall and looking confidently at the world around it, yet yearning to soar even higher into the dreamy blue sky. πŸ™‚
